A preconceived idea...
"Using a compatible ink cartridge cancels the extended warranty for the printer in case of a failure».
ARMOR group chose to counteract this preconceived idea through judicial means. ARMOR is indeed concerned about its users' tranquility.
Therefore, ARMOR questioned Maître Stéphane Perrin, Lawyer at the Paris Bar and Partner at Ngo, Miguérès & Associated, about the impact on the printer manufacturers' contractual warranty, using compatible cartridges.
Excessive exclusions : let's make it clear
According to Maître Perrin, printer manufacturers cannot automatically exclude their contractual warranty only by the fact of using compatible cartridges they did not approve. This exclusion could be considered as improper, in accordance with the position expressed by the Court of Cassation.
Maître Stéphane Perrin also brings up the exclusion of the manufacturers' contractual warranty, in case of damage caused by using compatible cartridges. This exclusion is only legal if, and only if, the printer failure has been identified as being the direct consequence of using « non approved » compatible cartridges.
Reliability and constancy : ARMOR warranties
If a printer's failure happens to be identified as being the direct consequence of using de ARMOR compatible cartridges, then ARMOR is committed :
- to exchange for free, at your trader's, the consumable seen as faulty.
- to take care, if needed, of the possible expenses for the printer repairing.
- in case of the printer's immobility, to entrust a skilled technician with acting on site in less than 8 working hours (subject to terms).
- to take care of the possible expenses for the printer repairing if it has been shown that the incident has been caused by an ARMOR consumable.
That's how ARMOR offers its consumers a reliable and easy use of its compatible cartridges.
If a point at issue appears with a printer manufacturer, ARMOR gives the user the means to protect his rights and to stand up for himself.
